Project activity

Newap In 2005, Logon joined a consortium set up to elaborate a unique language teaching programme, whose proposal was awarded support from the Socrates Lingua Project of the European Union.
We completed the programme in 2007. The primary objective of Newap was to prepare a single language teaching package to assist users in acquiring basic level proficiency in three languages that display quite a number of features in common: Finnish, Hungarian, and Turkish. Newap is built on scenarios in various real-life situations and offers an exciting intellectual challenge to those English-speaking learners who are interested in learning one or more of the above languages in a multimedia environment. Parallel context ensures reinforcement of a grammatical phenomenon in another language.
In addition to elaborating the Hungarian component, Logon also contributed to the design and compilation of the language learning package.
