Research

Two essential standards have been adopted for the past decade in the area of computer-assisted translation.

TMX is a standard used to record parallel translation units (sentences, paragraphs). Databases thus created are referred to as 'translation memories'. At present, Logon uses three software packages utilizing translation memories:

• Trados 2007 (Workbench 8.0)
• Déjà Vu X 7.5.
• OmegaT

The other standard that Logon closely follows is TBX, which allows us to create multilingual databases of specialized terminology and set expressions.
